Common reasons to trim

- Clipping a highlightKeep the moment from a long game or stream recording.
- Removing the start and endCut the fumbling at the beginning and end of phone videos.
- Sensitive recordingsTrim a meeting or medical video without passing it through anyone’s server.
Limitations
- A fast cut starts on a key frame and may begin slightly early.
- One segment per run; removing a section from the middle is not supported yet.
- An exact cut needs WebCodecs and takes as long as a re-encode.
Frequently asked questions
Is this video trimmer really free?
Yes. It is 100% free, with no usage limits, no watermark, no account and no sign-up. There is no paid plan and no feature is locked.
Is my video uploaded?
No. Your video is opened and processed inside your browser and never leaves your device. The page only downloads its own code from this site. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics receives anonymous usage data such as page views, never your video, its name or its contents.
What is the difference between fast and exact?
Fast copies the video as it is, so it takes seconds and loses nothing, but a cut can only begin on a key frame, so the clip may start slightly before your chosen time. Exact re-encodes the clip so it starts on the right frame, which takes longer.
Why does my fast cut start a little early?
Compressed video stores complete pictures only every so often, at key frames, and the frames between depend on them. A lossless cut must begin at one of those, which is why it may start a second or more before the chosen point. Use Exact when that matters.
Can I trim very large videos?
Yes. A fast cut does not decode the video, and large outputs are written to your browser’s private disk storage if it supports that, so memory is rarely the limit.
Does it add a watermark?
No, never.
Analytics: only if you accept cookies, the page loads Google Analytics (through Google Tag Manager) to count visits and see which tools are used. It never receives your videos, their names or their contents. You can change your choice at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of the page.
